A few months back we ran across an email Jorge had sent us in early 2016 talking about how much he loved what we were up to. It was an honor to hear his praise and excitement a short time after launching Fúchila:

Jorge R. Gutierrez (1975) is a Mexican animator, painter, writer & director who, along with his wife and muse Sandra Equihua, created the multiple Annie & Emmy Award winning animated television series El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera for Nickelodeon. He also earned his first Golden Globe Award nomination for the Best Animation Feature Film in 2014; The Book of Life.
